Cache

Caching (or Web Caching) is a method of temporarily storing (i.e., Caching) web documents, HTML pages, images, and other objects. The advantage of Caching is that it reduces bandwidth usage, server load and lag.

Internet search engines can cache web pages to display them faster. Internet browsers also cache parts of websites – they often temporarily store images, for example, or even entire pages. For example, when a website is opened, images from the cache may be loaded while the rest of the website is reloaded. This results in faster work with frequently visited websites.

Internet browsers then store their cache either in the computer's memory or on the computer's hard disk.
